This week on Expanded Perspectives we have on fellow Podcaster and friend Darren Schaefer on to talk about DB Cooper and his amazing podcast "The Cooper Vortex"! It's the only unsolved hijacking case in the history of commercial aviation. On the afternoon of November 24, 1971—Thanksgiving Eve—a man aboard a flight from Portland to Seattle threatened to detonate a bomb if he didn't receive a hefty ransom. Once he got the money, the hijacker released all passengers and ordered the crew to fly to Mexico. En route, with cash in hand, the man parachuted from the aircraft. This man was known as D.B. Cooper. After a 45-year FBI investigation, his identity, whereabouts and motive remain unknown. No one even knows whether he survived the jump. The FBI followed thousands of leads to find Cooper, considering more than 800 suspects in the five years following the incident. As of today no one knows who D.B. Cooper really was! Darren Schaefer is seeking the answers to this incredible story each and every episode of his amazing podcast "The Cooper Vortex". All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives! For nearly 15 years, Jim Tucker has been investigating claims made by children, usually between the ages of 2 and 6 years old, who say they’ve had past lives. The children are sometimes able to provide enough detail about those lives that their stories can be traced back to an actual person—rarely famous and often entirely unknown to the family—who died years before. This week on Expanded Perspectives author and friend of the show Ryan Sprague joins us to talk about the recent announcements in the UFO world, what are these other world vehicles, who pilots them and why is the government coming forward now? Also he talks about his latest work "Somewhere In The Skies, 2nd edition: A Human Approach to the UFO Phenomenon". In this updated and expanded second edition, Ryan Sprague revisits many, and introduces new stories of those who have seen extraordinary things in our skies and how these incredible events have changed them. While reports of UFOs and close encounters are littered with dates, times, and descriptions, they rarely focus on the people who've had the experience. Could both the positive and negative implications, whether subtle or revelatory, further our knowledge of what these phenomena represent? Through detailed testimony from credible witnesses and insight from those in the psychological, academic, and scientific fields, Somewhere in the Skies: A Human Approach to the UFO Phenomenon weaves together a story of stories, attempting to get to the heart of these mysteries one experience at a time. On this episode of Expanded Perspectives the guys start the show off talking about Body Armor sports drinks and then they get into some strange sightings. First off, some more details regarding the sighting of four small hairy hominids that were observed by fossil hunters in west Texas. Then, Cam brings up some more small creatures like the Venezuelan Hairy Dwarves! Which are a variety of hairy humanoid that is shorter than the average human. Unlike the more traditional types of hairy humanoid, such as Bigfoot, hairy dwarfs are technologically adept. In fact, they are often associated with UFOs. In the early days of the UFO craze, witnesses often reported that the aliens were hairy dwarfs instead of the classic "grays" that seem to be most popular today. In time, hairy dwarf reports became much less common. Hairy dwarfs are hardly ever reported today. Then, Kyle tells a story sent in by a listener who has also seen a black smoke serpent manifesting in there bedroom at night. Why does this seem to be happening during sleep paralysis? Who or what is creating them. Also, a woman tells about two BEKs showing up on her front porch at 2:30am in Alabama in the middle of the summer while be decked out in winter jackets!
